To select a winner for the best presentation prize, all scientific presentations of the ESRs during the second EpiPredict meeting were carefully judged by a small committee consisting of Dr Verschure, the coordinator, Prof. Vanoni (PI of ESR7) and Prof. Kiss (Educational Counsellor and PI of ESR9). The judges took into account the presentation style (including the ability to deliver the message, enthusiasm and the clearness of the PowerPoint slides), knowledge of the topic and ability to discuss critical questions. It was difficult to make a final decision because the ESRs gave excellent presentations.
The judges selected Stefania Astrologo (ESR1, University of Amsterdam) as winner of the best presentation prize due to her skills to give a very convincing story about a difficult (computational) topic explaining the topic clearly also to researchers from also non-computational disciplines. The prize was handed-out during the dinner of the EpiPredict meeting.
