Maggie's centre West London was an excellent location for the evening. All involved were really pleased with the evening at Maggie's place just in front of Charing Cross Hospital last Thursday 14 December 2017. The communication between the researchers and the attendees was much appreciated. The fellows performed good pitches presenting their research and they were able to answer the excellent questions the patients and their representatives had.

In the morning we had a workshop by Pieter van Boheemen en Arnold Vonk of the Rathenau Institute, Kelly Gleason (Cancer Research UK senior research nurse) prepared us on what to expect for the evening and the pitches were practices by the fellows. In the living room of Maggie's at six o'clock Dr Pernette Verschure introduced EpiPredict and its research, four fellows pitched their research and we had a lively question and answer session. After the discussion and closing there was time for mingling with drinks and bites. During the night the fellows together with Eva Brinkman and Nadine Bongaerts of Science Matters (former Biotecture) filmed and interviewed some attendees to be able to make a video of the evening to be published later.

We are really gratefull for the attendance of the patients and the organisation by Kelly Gleason. Thank you to all.
